a) Maternal Death Report (2022-23 & 23-24)
This report attempts to analyze the MDR data collected at districts and collated at the State level by the State Family Welfare Bureau, Pune.
This analysis will help in identifying the causes attributed to maternal deaths and determine the highly burdened circles/districts to plan the evidence-based specific area-focused interventions to further reduce maternal mortality at a faster rate.
SHSRC prepares Maternal Death analysis report since 2017-18 on annual basis.
b) Child Death Report (2022-23)

Health Institution Evaluation (Responsive mandate)
Health Institution working in PPP mode needs to be evaluated by independent agency for improvement in service delivery. SHSRC has been assigned the same task. On yearly basis SHSRC started evaluation of:
Heath Advice Call Center (HACC-104) Evaluation
The Health Advice Call Centre (HACC) has been established under NHM for Health advice, speciality advise, Grievance redressal. SHSRC as nodal agency of NHM quarterly evaluates the performance of HACC.
Ranking of District and Health Institutes
a) DHO, CS and MOH Ranking
b) Ranking of District/General/Sub-District Hospitals (100 Beds)
On similar lines ranking system for of District/General/Sub-District Hospitals (100 Beds) has been designed. Based upon monthly ranking score sheet of performance is communicated to these institutions for improvement of programs.
Women Hospitals Monthly Ranking
Considering different structure, RCH work and patient flow, separate ranking system for woman hospital has been instituted. SHSRC is preparing monthly ranking of Woman Hospital since June 2024. Woman Hospital ranking, based on key health indicators, aims to assess the current status of women’s hospitals, compare their performance, and identify areas for improvement.
Maharashtra HMIS Analyzer
SHSRC, in collaboration with CTARA, IIT Mumbai, has developed the HMIS Analyzer—a comprehensive web portal designed for data analysis and visualization of Health Management Information System (HMIS) data. The portal features two main sections: the Dashboard and the Compare page. The Dashboard offers four dynamic visualization tools—Map, Bar, Line, and Pie charts—enabling users to interpret data effectively for informed policy decisions. Additionally, it includes a color-coded table that allows simultaneous viewing of all data elements and indicators across categories, enhancing clarity and accessibility. SHSRC has provided critical technical support throughout the development of this platform, ensuring its utility for health data analysis and strategic planning.
